Can I kick your behind for this question, sir?

At this particular moment, you sound like: you are either in denial for the whole mess (don't worry it happens to many), trying to ignore it the best you can (it's the hardest thing to do), or not yet at the stages of the realization for the whole cituation (at this moment, be ready to have all the possible feelings to come up to the surface), that are always there when you least expect it... Your Mom has gone through all that and right now she's able somehow to put her life back together, even though it'll be hard and to the degree of the miracle. I feel so sorry for both of you and I hope you will all recover from this insanity.

The big deal is this: Emotional, physical, psychological and mental abuse that the victim has to undergo during and after this vicious act. The scars are not seen on the surface, but they're deep and painfull on the inside, as well as many other problems. Even though years will pass, everyone is bound to remember something like this even in a passing.

"Overrated" is not even the word for this tragedy, stupidity and insanity. The more appropriate word will be "Underrated." There IS a huge difference between these words... And, you are damn lucky enough to feel that it didn't ruin your life in any way, shape, or form. Not that many people can call themselves that (including me).

*will boost hand* actually.. I constantly concept the bassist in RAtM replace into two times the musician Morello is.... this is why I under no circumstances have been given the huge adoration of the guy. he's proficient.... yet as any steel fna is primary with of, tbh, proficient Guitarists section dime a dozen. That ain't the comparable as being a Dimebag. maximum those that fawn over him however pay attention fantastically lots solely to the extra radio friendly bands, and so probable have basically under no circumstances truly heard people like JAson Becker, Marty Friedman, Dave Mustaine or Mike Amott. *Shrugs* What are you able to do. I propose.. that's the comparable society the place the Jonas Bros outsell Megadeth........ ****Token Black guy...yeah, and since the truly independent and non commercial oriented Rolling Stone magazine says it, it is going to likely be so, good? *rolls eyes* in any case, supply the guy credit for being a sturdy guitarist, yet in addition comprehend that there are a number of extra ouut therre that flat out smoke him. and that i've got been given no longer something against people making use of outcomes. good day, in case you may get a diverse sound out of it ( and Tom can ) then extra capacity to you. it truly is liek the folk who make a great deal cuz this drummer or that does their stuff and not making use of a highhat... ok, so what.. the guy needs to make life extra stable on himself.. does not make him a extra resourceful musicain immediately....

It is a big deal and I am very sorry it happened to you. It is good that you don't feel it ruined your life. To move on and forgive is the best thing but it isn't so easy for everyone. Your mom might have really loved you and helped you thru it but not everyone has that support. I would encourage you to understand that what someone is feeling may be valid for them and it is not up to you to decide for them. You could use your situation to encourage others...not to lose patience with them. You could be adding to their unresolved pain.

Sometimes it is how a person gets raped that will stay with them for ever. I am glad that it did not affect you. But you need to remember that not all rape victims are not that lucky and the pain and scares will got them forever.

Rape is wrong and society should not tolerate it. I am sorry that you and your mother did not get justice. The squeaky wheel gets the grease when wanting justice sometimes.
