I certainly wouldn't claim to speak for everyone. Yet, I agree that The Clash reflected much of the social pulse of the last 30 years. They were also successful in limiting their audience through musical improvisation. They weren't content with admitting everyone into their select fan base. They challenged the average fan into being aware of the many social discords. This means that the sought after Clash fan had to have more than ears to become one with the Clash movement. Joel Strummer had the unique ability to appeal to the social welfare of the music-listening audience. Fans were drawn to this and created their own counter-culture proudly on his heels. This created the magical chemistry that uniquely identifies The Clash from their contemporaries. Should we stay or should we go?

The Clash were great, I talked to the late Joe Strummer on Rockline in 1980-1982 and it was the coolest. However, they have been gone awhile and I'm not sure they are the greatest in all that time, Nirvana comes to mind.
I saw the Dead many times, but they were no Clash.

i love Jake Locker's potential and imagine that he has an recommendations-blowing shot to be an fairly good QB, yet he would ought to steer Washington to a suitable record and BCS Championship at the same time as putting up ridiculous stats to also be contained in the communique with Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer and John Elway because the "best QB to enter the NFL contained in the in simple terms precise 30 years." he's were given off the charts actual approaches, large intangibles and exceedingly good mechanics, yet he continues to be actual uncooked.
