I keep getting error message when trying to e-mail from Microsoft Explorer, I need to change the password but?

You mean Internet Explorer?

What email service are you using? If its yahoo, then you have to go into your email and there is a preference settings in there that lets you change your email password. You can even change it by just going into yahoo profile and editing your password.

If you give me the specific email service then I can give you step by step.

For yahoo, from this page there is an MY ACCOUNT link right underneath your "Welcome user" text. You will be asked to re-enter your current password for verification. Then:
Click the "Change Password" link.
Enter your current password in the first box.
Enter your new password (as you would like it to be) in the second box.
Confirm your new password in the third box.
Click the "Save" button.
Your Yahoo! password will always apply to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that it will be valid not only for Yahoo! Mail, but also for Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Finance, and all of Yahoo!'s other personalized services.

To change your Gmail password:
Select Settings from the top Gmail navigation bar.
Follow the Account Settings » link.
Under Edit Personal Info, choose Password.
Type your current password under Current password:.
Enter the new password twice under New password: and Repeat password:.
Click Save new password.
