why are ciggerets still legal, while they will kill you, drugs aren't legal and they will do the same thing, some say cause they impair your judgement, but so does alcahol, and also, if you think about it everything that is illegal the goverment does not make any money off of what so ever, i just want your opions on this i always been wondering about this stuff...WHY IS IT LIKE THAT???

to tax on it of course. The government should just make drugs legal (not all but some). Cuz we all know that when something is made illegal it's wanted more!!! If the government makes it legal that would put drug dealers out of business and they can tax on it. Also if it is available maybe it wont be wanted as much!!

i agree that it is probably how much money big tobacco can give the government. marijuana is illegal and does less damage to a person's body the cigarettes or some pain relievers and is still illegal. probably because big pharmaceutical companies would loose money if there was a cheaper form of pain relieve out there. money talks and everything else walks

Too much of anything will kill you..Too much red meat, too many cigs, driving too fast...It's all about control and money. People who have money will always try to control those of us who have less. In this case, the big cigarette companies have a lot of money, they are able to lobby congress to keep cigs legal.

Probably cause cigarettes companies grease the pockets of senators and congressmen. Riddle me this why is abortion legal but not euthanasia?
