It depends upon the subject you teach and the state and college you teach at. But if it gives you any idea, I'm an adjunct professor at a 4-year university in Texas, where I teach 3 classes of French a semester (4 if I can get it), and I only made $15,000 last year. Other adjuncts there earn about the same, with possibly an additional $5,000 per year for those who teach full-time (5 class per semester) year round. The adjunct professor who teaches Latin there, however, earns only $12,000 a year, in spite of his classes being packed semester after semester.

In other words, it's a good way to starve to death. Oh, and did I mention that most of us get absolutely no benefits?

Depends on college, location, and how many classes you teach. I would be more specific, so people in your area could answer, or ask your local school. Salary.com has generalities.
