alot of people are offended about it because they think it is something that belongs in the bedroom and in the dark... i personnally don't mind talking about it , infact we had a nice group conversation last night about sex. although i don't mind talking about it, i wouldn't go out and tell every stranger i met things i would or wouldn't do either-- i have to be friends with the person i am talking to.

Maybe in 1942 most people were; however, not in 2006. People sign waivers to show video of themselves getting caught having sex. They answer frankly in a "taxicab confession" for goodness sake. It's survival of the fittests. If you can't handle the embarassment you stay out of the conversations.

I think some people need to learn when to shut up, especially on the net (such as Y!A). There's nothing wrong with talking about sex with people you know well, to your partner, your best mate etc but there are some things people really don't want/need to know!

... I hasten to add that I am referring to the very explicit peeps!

Talking frankly about sex breaks down barriers but I am more inclined to discuss that with a partner not everyone!

It depends on what you mean by 'frankly'. Extremely explicit in front of children? Yes, I would be offended. With a significant other? No.

I don't speak about my sex life openly because I like to keep it very personal, just the two of us, my husband and i..... I do speak about general sex things, but not about what I do in bed... Although I do sometimes share things on the internet because my real name is not published.

I can't see a problem with frank discussions about sex. There really is too many prudes about. Not sure I'd want to tell everyone though....my boss for one!

A lot of people think I'm prudish until I start talking about sex. Then they realize I'm a freak.
