He wanted to be known as the guy who planted the seeds of democracy in Iraq, just as Reagan is erroneously credited with bringing down the Soviet Union (and what a safe, thriving place Russia is right now, eh?)

It's been awhile since I checked the makeup of the so-called "coalition of the willing", but I seem to recall the troops were about 90% U.S. and Britain. I feel like there were only five or 6 countries represented. Many countries other than France (e.g. Germany) NEVER sent troops. Many of the ones that did were minor countries (e.g. Nicaragua) presumably looking to get their palms greased by the U.S. after the war. Still others (Italy) were in the process of pulling all troops out by the end of 2006, or else had already done so (Spain).

Within a year or two, we will all pull out, the media will eventually cease coverage, and Iraq will be left in a state of chaos, and the average American won't care...nor be any the wiser.

George Bush invaded Iraq so that he could set up bases in the middle east and have fast access to all other Middle Eastern countries. He invaded Iraq because they have Oil. He invaded Iraq because people told him to like Karl Rove and Dick Chaney and Donald Rumsfield and other big business owners. Bush has no ideas because he in not very smart in case you haven't heard him speak. He kind of like that dumb friend you had in high school that you could dare to do anything for a dollar. I don't know how many non American troops we have there but I know there are not close to the amount that we have, maybe 10% of the total troops there are non Americans. Japan just pull their 500 troops out.

He wanted to invade Iraq to make Americans safer. You people talk down on our president but how many September 11 do you people want to have? I am glad Mr. Bush is our president and if anyone else was president we would be screwed. As long as we have Mr Bush defending our freedom the world is a safer place for us and our children..

George Bush did the right thing! the reasons he gave for enetering was just to try to shut you up, The truth was he wanted to establish a safe base for american troops to fight a broader war against Terror, and to scare off other Mulim terrorists, and they shoyuld be busy over there and not plan attacks over here untill we are really ready
