Probably until you are tired of them. It's easy to make a pair of shoes last, but it also depends on how you take care of them. Some shoes need to be thrown away if they're messy, the heel breaks or something else on the shoe is messed up.
Some people wear other shoes so it's not one shoe that's being used. It depends on how much you like them.

You should have at least 5-15 pairs of shoes that you mix up anyway

I buy new shoes whenever I see a pair I like. So they tend to last a long time. I like to switch it up once in a while

I keep buying shoes, only because they r so cute and irresistible, one can buy shoes anytime, I have shoes for over 5 years that I never wore, I'm sure I'll wear them one day.

well i keep buying new pairs whenever i see one thats really cute. but i still wear my old shoes, and the oldest is almost a year. ill wear it until it starts to get holes!

Until they cause me so much pain that i require medical attention after every time i wear them.
I am a man. I do *not* like shopping for shoes.

If they are looking good, why do you need to buy a new pair. If they are looking ratty, you might want to rethink your shoes.

Until they either have stretched out too much to be safe or really look bad (holes or soles are too worn).
I have walking problems, so I don't really care about fashion.

as long as you can still wear them don't worry about buyin new ones...i have a pair of Lugz that i have had for 8 years now and i can still wear them
