I lost mine a year ago to my husband but i dont remember any bleeding down there. I hear from others that when you start to bleed your no longer a virgin. i dont know what to think anymore. im sure i lost mine then, but am just wondering if its different for everyone. what do you say?

You wouldn't have bled if your hymen was already broken. It can break naturally as you grow up. I didn't bleed the first time either.

I think it depends, they call it "popping the cherry". I never got blood - did you use tampons before you lost your virginity? I suspect that's maybe why I didn't bleed because I used to use tampons, they could have popped it. You wouldn't notice then, either, since there's already lots of blood coming out.

Certainly a lot has to do with the CARE taken.
Certainly if the guy "tears it up" the first time... there will be more trauma to the area then a gentle slow experience.
I've had two "first timers" in my time... both hardly bled at all!

Maybe you broke your hymen before... maybe a tampon, riding something... etc...
Or, maybe your hymen is very elastic.. I've overheard that some women even have babies and their hymen is still there (not sure about this.. i just OVERHEARD that)... but anyway, I don't think the hymen is a such a big issue in this century anymore :)
