A friend of mine died in 2002, in a car accident. I know their full name, birthdate. the street, city, county and state they lived in, the general location of their death and the date of their death. But I never was able to find out where they're buried. I wasn't on good terms with the family and they wouldn't tell me which cemetery he's buried in. I even called the funeral home who handled everything, and they said that it was a closed ceremony and they can only provide information about grave location to family members. I've looked for grave records online, but all I could find were incomplete, very old records from a few local cemeteries. I don't think the family posted an obituary or funeral info in a paper, either. I feel like I'm searching for a needle in a haystack. I would like to find this friend's grave so that I can visit it and find closure. If anyone can help me, please do. Thanks!

Go to any cemeteries that you think the person may have been interred at, ask at the office where the location of this persons grave is. Give them the persons name and death date. They should have files as to the location of the grave. Or they can tell you if that person isn't in that cemetery. Or they can tell you if there are special instructions not to tell anyone, any information.

I would suggest calling around to local cemeteries to try and locate him. Other than that im not sure. I have also searched databases online and the records are very outdated, and incomlete. Good Luck!

IF YOU HAVE THE CORRECT NAME AND DATE OF DEATH YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESEARCH THIS THRU THE LOCAL PAPERS WHERE THE DECEASED LIVED. THE OBITS WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE DETAILS INCLUDING THE CEMETARY. NOW, IF THE PERSON PLANNING THE SERVICES CHOSE TO MAKE IT PRIVATE, THIS INFO WONT BE LISTED. BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH.
