I disagree with your stupid question. Yes, maybe the U.S. was overhyped or didn't play well or just sucked, but you have to admit that the penalty call was crap!
Also, Ghana kept on diving all over the field trying to get calls and fouls, and they got that penalty which happened because the Ghana guy leaned back on the U.S. player and the U.S. player didn't even touch him (watch the video before you say that it really was a penalty because it wasn't!).
I really didn't care if the U.S. advanced or not, even though it would've been nice if they did. I wanted to see a fair game, and the referees gave the game to Ghana and made it unfair! You can't deny that!

USA sucks at pretty much everything...lets see...In soccer, the US is 5 in the world ahead of teams like Argentina, England or Spain, you may wonder why? well, the answer is simple...Marketing. The US sucks at soccer and while they have gone to 5 straight world cups, the only reason for that is because they play crappy teams like Haiti, El Salvador or Barbados in order to qualify....they would never get in if they had to play Argentina, Brazil or Ecuador in South America...so you might say...hell we don't even care about soccer! (which is called football everywhere but here) it's boring! there's no enough scoring! I guess it's easy if you make 1 count as 6 (sounds familiar?).. well then let me give you some info about the sports you really care about...Basketball...The US went to the olympics with players like Dwayne Wade, Allen Iverson & Tim Duncan among others only to be eliminated by Argentina (they won the gold medal and they only have 1 NBA player)...Baseball...The World Baseball Classic, organized by americans, played on american soil, was won by Japan...the US didn't even make it to the semifinals...hell isn't baseball america's sport?...Hockey...The US team was eliminated in the Torino Olympics by Finalnd, no medals there either...Tennis...haha next...I guess you can take some pride on being good at football, but that's because nobody else in the world plays that crap...and by the way it should be called handball...

i'm wit u....United States should stick to thier other sports and leave football for the pros. However, it's sort of a gamble on if ghana can go further than this...i'm rooting for them though but seeing as they are going to be up against brazil...well let's just say my fingers are crossed

So sad, we couldn't even score a goal with a free kick. Ghana played a better game than we did.

everyone is saying that the penalty was bogus but that's life, things like that happen! wen draman (i think dats his name) was fouled purposely, nothing was given! Ghana wud have won anyway!

You are not being fare, because you have no knowledge about soccer. US doesn't suck at all!
In the US World Cup, US lost the game for Brazil only after extra time, where Brazil scored only one goal.
Soccer isn't always about the team that best play, but about whom win, and let's faced, was incredible the game played against Italy with the corrupted referee.

I'm with you!! That was some game and kudos to Ghana...they definitely played their game. USA was way outclassed.

I agree with Surge. I have played soccer my entire life and some of the best CREDITED PLAYERS AND TEAMS dive and fake as many calls as they can. This is sickening me to the point where I don't watch games that often for that reason. Maybe that's why the USA loses, we don't fake everything. The USA prefers to win with honor...
