Let's not rush to judgement, Dwightl. I have no personal experience with booters. Someone mentioned them in another letter and I merely want to keep my vocabulary up to date. Tsk tsk.

This means you have all sorts of "script kiddies" downloading VB 6.0 and messing around with "freely available" source code. They then upload their creations to websites for other "script kiddies" to download and "boot" people. The term booting refers to the sending of specially formed packets via yahoo protocol to cause the client software to malfunction or "get booted".
What do you think you are getting when you download these Boot programs? What is to stop the creators of these programs implementing freely available malicious code into their VB projects? The answer is nothing and present day heuristic technology isn't good enough (in most cases) to detect the hidden Trojan code. The script kiddies can also use executable binders to "join" or "melt" one legitimate boot program (if there is such a thing) to a Trojan and then packing it with freely available RTP's (runtime packers ie.,. UPX or other) to make the size difference almost un-noticeable to the novice(again, this isn't always the case). This puts the people who are downloading these programs at risk to having their accounts and identities stolen. Many people who use these programs have already had their accounts stolen by keylogging applications hidden in these malicious programs.

booters are programs that boot people off of a chat room. Try going into Yahoo Chat and you'll find out what a booter is if you run into a person who runs a booter program. It will kick you out of a room.

booters are the hackers in yahoo chat rooms that inconspicuously try to fry your computer cause they get a kick out of it,nothing can be done to these ppl. either.if you get booted from a chat room u'll know it...it sends you 200 im's that you cant stop and thats just one boot, there are thousands.it makes it so you cant sign back in to messenger for a while, the only way to get rid of them is an illegal shut down of your computer(the pm's)

i have been chatting for 10 years and have never been booted or banned. you might want to rethink that childish behavior that keeps getting you booted. then you won't need a booter
