Sobrien, thats a really incorrect thoery. The Sun wont even be able to turn into a black hole. Am I the only person who knows what thier saying!?

Anyway, the Sun, in 4.5 billion years supposivly, will start to swell. It will get bigger, and engulp Mercury and Venus. The atmosphere will evaporate, water will melt, and life will be gone. The sun will swell enough to devour the earth, then shrink, grow, Turn into a planetary nebula, then shrink, for the last time, into a white dwarf. Then In a few billion years, cool down to a black dwarf.

The reason the sun expands, Incase you want to know, Is because of its fuel supply. The energy from the sun comes from nuclear fusion of Helium. When the helium supply runs out, The sun has to fuse hydrogen, therefore making the sun swell. The sun then will Shrink, once its helium supply is restored, grow again, then cast out a planety nebula (For what a planetary nebula looks like, Look up the ring nebula) then it wont have enough hydrogen to grow back to the normal size...and become a white dwarf. Eventually, it will cool into a black dwarf and die.

Eventually the sun will swell and absorb the earth before shrinking into a white dwarf star. Thats a good 5 billion years away though.

We probably don't have to worry about that though. We will have invented "Seed AI" far before then, for better or for worse. If we screw it up, it could very well be the end of the world (or at least the end of humanity) and if we don't then anything you can imagine will be possible.

Likely a technological singularity will be created during your lifetime. That is unless we blow ourselves up before then.

The sun won't burn us up, we will do it to ourselves first. I don't want to sound jaded, but we're doomed. The way we affect the earth by overpopulation and pollution both grow at an exponential rate. Without drastic changes in human existence, life as we know it will end sooner than we think. I fear that even with these changes, we've already done enough damage to solidify our fate.

a few million years till the sun runs out of fuel, which enlarges the core because the pressure that keeps it in check is depleted,

when that happens, the sun will actually have MORE energy and heat due to the growing core, which will grow, bathing every planet in more and more radiation and heat, until the earth is the same as mars, and mars has been burnt to a crisp.

then, it will grow until it engulfs the 4 closest planets, and then start top shrink, growing hotter and stronger as it does, into a white dwarf. then, it will implode, and if the conditions are right, it will turn into a black hole, and suck in the rest of our galaxy.

but, no fear, we will be long dead by then!!

The end of the world (remember this)

The United Nations will eliminate religion.

The world will come to chaos.

God will intervene, save the few people he has on earth and destroy all opposers of his heavenly kingdom.

Then God's people will live forever on a paradise earth without worry of bad people- Psalm 37:9-11, 28, 29
Proverbs 2:21, 22

The earth will never be destroyed. The end of the world refers to the end of the world of wickedness.

As far as scientists can tell by studying star life cycles, yes, the Sun will expand and destroy the planet. It won't happen for many millions of years, but there is no way to tell since we can't tell exactly where we are in the cycle of the star's life. We can tell what phase, but we don't know how long that will last.

At this moment, depends on world governments if they keep building weapons, and not take any actions on world warming. Otherwise, don"t worry not even your grandchildren will get to see the end of the world.

i heard it was about 4 billion years until the sun would stop providing heat to the earth, and if that happens we would be all to cold to live.
