I assume you mean tenting for termites. We always did because it is the right thing to do. Some of my rentals were in Pasadena, CA. However, he can also accomodate you in other units if they own others, but he will have to pay for your move. But, since you pay rent in advance (at least in mine) for the month in advance, you did not intend to NOT have use or possession of the rental for which you paid rent, he must find you accomodations until the work on the rental unit is completed. Check your lease agreement, it was clearly stated in ours.

I studyed tenant laws for # 6 months before I got bored with it there is only two states that sum lords can run over tenants and your in good shape.

Now anytime a landlord cost you money are breaks your civil rights you have the upper hand.

Do not let a landlord bluff you they will try ever time!!!!!

If he / she does then called your local lawyer [ ref ] if you cannot afford a lawyer they will furnish you one for free and he will give you all the rights your state has and help you through them step by step.

Your landlord should pay a reasonable amount for your inconvenience and your staying in a motel until the work is complete and it is safe for your return.
