If space goes on forever, it is 'infinite'. If it does not, it is 'finite'.
The strange thing is, that if it is infinite, the laws of average, state that somewhere else on a similar planet to earth, someone identical to me, is typing this same answer to a question identical to your question, typed by an identical person to you, on an identical computer...................the mind boggles..............

It's often claimed in scientific circles that the universe is expanding. This however is at odds with the idea that the universe is infinite and goes on for ever. The mere use of the phrase 'the universe is expanding' implies boundaries and therefore limits. In which case, you would expect there to come a point where you could not travel any further (i.e you'd reached the limit) However, the universe could be expanding at a rate that is far greater than the speed at which anything could possibly travel, therefore you could never reach the edge of it and you would then assume that it went on forever. Think of it as something you are chasing moving away from you in such a way that you'd never catch it.

Space is a concept, a feeling by us who are embedded inside the space. So we can not reach the end of the space - it is infinite to us. But you can say just before the big-bang, the space was concentrated at a point - so there was an end ! But in that case, you are imagining yourself located outside the space - which is not true. Actually, even then everything was embedded inside the point like space in some other form, and with respect to all these inside things -the space was infinite.

Space as we call it encompasses all of our universe. Our universe has been expanding at the rate of the speed of light (186,000 miles per second) ever since the universe exploded into existance in the big bang about 15 billion years ago. I believe that space also includes what is outside of our universe which is absolute nothingness at a temperature of minus 0 k or -273.16 C and does not include any matter at all.

I believe that space and universes are unlimited, Im not sure what would be at the end so with all the different pressures going on out there I believe it would have to be endless or we are in a huge bubble, I have no reason to believe we are in a bubble ,,we dont know but we are entitled to have a theory...

According to common therory, space is continually expanding and has been since the big bang about 6 billion years ago. The theory goes on to state that at some point it will stop expanding and begin contracting... yikes... but I wouldn't expect that to occur any time soon...

The end of space is a singularity (a point in space with no size). Because time and space are one and the same thing, the end of space is the beginning of time.

It would go on forever. I don't think it could stop. I also dont think we could prove it because we don't have the technology to do that sort of thing. Also, if it goes on forever, then how would we measure it? That would be difficult because we would never be able to know if there was an end or not.

More than likely, the universe is still expanding almost as fast as the speed of light

apparently it like this massive sphere. and if you had a telescope powerful enough to see to the end of space, eventually, what you'd actually see would be the back of your head. Weird Huh?
