well with my first child, i was 28 weeks, he weighed 3 ibs 11 ounces.
but with my second i was 38 weeks
and my third 37 weeks.

I also went in on my due date..If you are able to give the Dr the exact date of the first day of your last period..it does help..Although, you can't always control what nature does...It really depends..Each woman and pregnancy is soooo different...
The semen just softens the uterus...
If you are 36 weeks, just allow your baby to come when he/she is ready..I know you are anxious, uncomfortable and plain old miserable... Being there and will be doing it again soon. I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my fourth child..

41 weeks. A lot of first babies, actually the majority of first babies, are late. I forget the reasons for this but I do remember this to be a fact. If you're at 39 weeks and haven't started dialating the best adivice I can give you is sex and walking. Sex because there's a hormone found in semen that can bring on contractions and walking because it assits in the lightning process. Good luck and congrats!

My doctor induced me at 38 Weeks. I still am not sure why, except for maybe the baby was getting too big. She was already just under 9 pounds so two more weeks and she would have ended up an 11 pound baby....yikes.

I went into labor at 23 weeks 2 months i was suppose to have him August 6,2006 but h came real early and weighed 1lb and and 7oz . so just image if i was still pregnant he would been a big baby on my due date

I went into labor in my 36th week. I went to the dr on a monday for my 36w appt. and that night I lost my plug and then that wednesday I went into labor in the late morning like 10am, I checked into the hospitol at 3pm, they "admitted me" at 7pm (meaning I knew I was going to have him and it wasn't fake labor) and the next morning at 6:39 my son was born.
It'll be here before you know it!!

I was 40wk and 4 days. My midwife told me it's normal for most mothers to go at least 7 days past their due date (as hard as that is to do!) Good luck, those last few weeks are the toughest (but you'll probably cherish them the most after baby is born)

i was induced at 36 weeks due to severe toxemia- had a beautiful 6 lb little girl
