proactiv works differently for most people. but when i used it (about 5 months ago) i saw no difference. the pimples were still there but the repairing lotion just made my skin more dry. they don`t really help fight acne (well for me) and they just dry out my skin. its so gross, i started shedding and peeling, gross. some of my friends have the same accident and we switched to acnefree. its kinda like proactiv but its much cheaper and efficient. since i saw my results within a week or two, i just kep using it. i have been using acne free for about 4 months now. no acne at all. but those medications work differenly on every person so i would say just use proactiv for a few more weeks or days & see if you see any results. if you dont, i would recommend acnefree.

NO! Dont' stop. It might take more time than that. If you still see no results after about 4 weeks, maybe. But I believe in the stuff. I've been using it for 6 years!
I've actually stopped using it for 2 or 3 weeks, but I just couldn't stay away. My face has never been the same!

i am a licensed Esthetician. which means i have training in Skin Care, make-up artistry, and hair-removal among other things (though i do not practise these things, i still keep my license current and stay up to date on new information)
i can tell you right now that there are around 10 different conditions that look like acne that are not acne and cannot be treated the same way.
you need to get a diagnosis from a professional (in person) and talk over some options. but the fact is that Benzoil Peroxide is not a very useful tool in healing these other skin conditions and can actually make it worse.
also, dont forget that there is no cure for acne, and even if you Do have acne, there is no garuntee that Benzoil Peroxide is going to help.
and dont just have your regular doctor look at your skin, have a dermatologist (a reputable on) look. b/c the fact is regular doctors just are not trained to deal with many skin conditions.

You should be seeing some result after a week and a half, if you're using it twice a day. However, it takes about a month for you to really see a difference. Keep at it for a full month, then if you don't see any improvement, stop. You should still be within the guarantee time to get your money back. (I think mine was 60 days?)

I've had two friends that use Proactive with great results. You have to use any acne medication for at least a month to see the prevention aspect of it. Follow the instructions and be patient.

You should continue to use it. It could take a month or months to see results. If you still see no resutls, then I think you should try something else. You should go see a dermatologist, so he/she could give you something better. Proactiv doesn't work for everyone, because I know people who tried it and I tried it myself. The best thing is to go see a dermatologist, because everyone skin is different and he/she will examine your skin and give you something that works. Goodluck

You have at least have to use it for a month or so to take affect. it gets out the exsisting pimples then it clears your face. But it up to you because everyone has different reactions to proactiv.

A week is nothing.
Keep using it. Give it a chance to start to work.
I've heard nothing but GOOD things about this product.
