If you mean "hispanic" from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Dominican, etc., it's a result of the slave trade. There are enclaves of blacks in Mexico, for example, who were brought over during the slave trade and left there. Eventually blacks and hispanics intermingles and mixed and you get some of the people you see today.

There is a Mexican Museum of Fine Arts here in Chicago that is currently running an exhibit about the African presence in Mexico.

One of their parents were black and the other was hispanic. No idea where the two groups met. The first answer was probably right...in the bedroom. That's funny, right?

What kind of ignorant question is this? Did you think they were sequestered in two giant rooms apart from each other until a magic black-Hispanic angel opened the door and said "Let there be pro-creation"? Good grief...some people......

Unfortunately, some black people were also taken (mostly by the Spaniards) to south America as slaves. When they got their freedom, they opted to stay instead of returning to Africa.
