what software can i use to make 64 bit drivers for windows?

I would like to be able to make a 64 bit driver andwould like to know what software to use for this.

Visual studio 2005 has great 64 bit programing ability. Plus all the comfort of windows ready made code. But it sometimes can be a pain in the a**.
