I'm a daycare provider. I have an assistant who is very rude. She comes some days and doesn't come other days. Sometimes we argue while the kids are there. I tell her she's not dependable and then she hangs up the phone. I pay her $3.50/day

I am not sure what a day care assitant should get paid, but that seems a bit low to me. It is a you get what you pay for situation. Having said that, you shouldn't have to deal with someone who you pay who is rude and unreliable. Let her go and find someone who you can work with. This is your daycare and if you are fighting with the assistant, the kids will be seeing that. Some parents might not like that and you could lose business. Good luck!

ok only $3.50 a day? Well, that is not even minimum wage and illegal. But it is not good for your kids to see the arguing and fighting so, no I would not keep her on as an employee.

You really should look at getting rid of her. If she is that disruptive to the daily running of your daycare then she shouldn't be there. Start looking for a new assistant pronto.

Fire her ***.

If she's going to be a worthless wart, she doesn't deserve to work for you.
