If your PC runs fine even with those messages comming up click "Start" , then Run. Type MSCONFIG in the box. Click on the Startup tab and see if it is in the startup process. If it is, uncheck the box and click apply. Another way is to click start and click run and type regedit. Click the Edit tab and scroll down to find. Enter INETD.exe in the box and click find. Examine what comes up,(if anything) If you feel comfortable delete those values.

You could also click start, then run, type SFC.exe. Make sure you have your Windows disk handy if it needs to re-copy original files needed. Follow the directions it gives you. This is Windows System File Checker. It checks the Intergrity of your files.

This is an error due to a program that is trying to load but is missing the link. You can go to the start menu and click run.now type in msconfig, select start up and find the exe program in the selections and uncheck it.Now click apply box. This will disable the program from the start process of windows and should keep you from getting the error. You will have to restart your computer now. When windows loads you will get a box telling you, that you are using selective start up.Just click the box that says never show again and close this box out.Now this is only a fix for those annoying error messages. There is a program in your computer that has a broken link and this program will not opperate when prompted to do so.If the error message appears again then it is in a program you are trying to run such as a printer, browser, chat program,or any other application. You need to search the internet and also go to find on your computer in the start menu ans search for this exe program.find what program is associated with this exe and either uninstall or reinstall the program to rever the missing link.

Good luck,Hope this helps ya

Inetd.exe is the badtrans virus. Evidently your anti-virus removed the file but it still has the registry entry to run the file. Check sarc.com for removal instructions.
