They play intensely for short periods of time, and then sleep for several hours until their next time of play. It seems ferrets are active for 20-30 percent of the day, and sleeping the rest of the day.

Depends on how old it is. Baby ferrets (kits) generally sleep from 12 to 16 hours a day. My ferret is 1 1/2 yrs old and is still sleeping about 10 to 14 hours a day.

Ferrets sleep a lot. Like everyone else said probably 16 or more hours a day. They also sleep so soundly it can be difficult to wake them. Your ferrets will learn your schedule and adjust to be awake when you are.

ferrets sleep quite a bit when young. They are nocturnal in a way so they sleep alot during the day. Even when they are up they tend to nap freqeuntly. I would say mine use to sleep 14 to 16 hours a day and still nap.

Usually until they wake up. If it's still sleeping in two or three days, try poking it with a stick. If it still doesn't move it's probably croaked.
