South Park vs Simpson's?

You all have to realize that South Park is better right?

yes, Family Guy is Awsome too.... simpsons is good but takes a back seat to South Park and Family Guy

south park is the best show ever.

No. The Simpsons is by far the better show, especially considering the fact that South Park would not even exist if it wasn't for The Simpsons. Now, let's examine this critically:

The Simpsons: The original groundbreaking, irreverent and subversive animated satire. It is extremely influential, and paved the way for every other of its kind, including South Park and Family Guy, and it managed to remain fresh and funny for twelve or thirteen years, which is longer than any other show that I can think of. Also, it is quite possibly the most recognizable pop culture phenomenon in all of television history.

South Park: This crude and foul-mouthed cartoon is very funny and extremely intelligent, generally tackling important and controversial issues. However, in the past several seasons it has essentially become an animated melodrama. Even though the purpose of this is to make fun of melodramas and the like, it comes off as rather cheesy. It's still funny, but didn't manage to remain as fresh and funny for anywhere near as long as The Simpsons.

Family Guy: It's funny, but it's really just a bunch of random jokes strung together, without any kind of underlying message, and it basically jumped the shark the moment it returned to Fox.

Anyway, just for some insight on what I watch, here are my top 6 favorite TV shows:

1. The Simpsons
2. Monty Python's Flying Circus
3. Penn and Teller: Bullshit!
4. Fawlty Towers
5. South Park
6. Mr. Show

Your crazy!!! South Parks is hilarious, but it can never compare to the juggernaut that is The Simpsons. How long has The SImpsons been on the air? 16, 17 years? And it is still going strong (though not as strong as it once was). South Park is running out of material after what, 7 years? They even ripped off the Simpsons in that one episode where everyone turned into the Simpsons by the end. Then the Simpsons took a shot at how South Park is stealing there material. hahaha

All South Park they did a cartoon called Princess it's very seedy but hillarious in the South Park kinda way. Simpson's are born again Baptists compared to South Park.

South Park is so much better! With the Simpsons I just kinda smile and think "That was funny," whereas with South Park I'll literally laugh out loud! Their jokes are so funny, and their social commentary is pretty intelligent, it's really such an original and entertaining show. Not to mention there are so many fantastic one-liners...all the Simpsons has is doh!

sonce it's not mainstream, southpark has more leeway than simpsons
& when you're watching simpsons seasons for a couple hours they get REAL old REAL fast while southpark NEVER gets old

HOWEVER
south park isn't made for the little ones!
