Honestly?

1. My favorite teddy bear.
2. My Dad's high-limit Visa card.
3. My Mom.

By the second term, that list had changed somewhat:

1. A diaphragm.
2. A coffee maker.
3. My Dad's high-limit Visa card.

I went to college a long time ago. Now I would definitely bring condoms instead of a diaphragm, but the rest of the stuff is all still valid, I think :)

Later:

After answering your question earlier, I happened to be talking to our neighbor's daughter, who is home for the summer after finishing her first year away at college, and I asked her your question. She said she wished she had taken:

1. A small refrigerator.
2. A small microwave oven.
3. A really good set of sound cancelling headphones, because sometimes the noise is so bad she cannot even concentrate to work on her computer, and sometimes when she just wants to go to sleep, she can listen to music and she doesn't hear all the noise out in the hallway.

A toaster oven (even though they're probably forbidden), microwavable bowls (mine weren't, yikes!), and good toilet paper. That stuff in the common bathroom was super scratchy! And an under-the-bed storage container is handy, too.

More food. I was constanly running out and having to make walmart runs. Even though I did come well stocked. Other than that, I was pretty prepared.

An umbrella, a more powerful fan (if you don't have air conditioning), and more healthy snacks.
