I have found that this simple solution helps people with hiccups.

1. Breath out completely and hold it. count to three.
2. Breath in completely and hold it.
3. Now tighten your lips like your whistling and breath out forcefully through them.

I believe that hiccups are a way for the body to bring oxygen into the diaphram. Perhaps my method helps to inflate the diaphram.

If you go outside and find a small smooth pebble. Then you place that pebble underneath a log, your hiccups will be cured.

hICCUPS ARE SIGNALS THAT THERE IS EXCESS OXYGEN IN YOUR BLOOD.So u need to create more carbon dioxide in your blood by using techniques that will retain your breath and help in the build up of carbondioxide. When u drink water in a stretch u are actually not breathing in, this helpd increase the carbon dioxide. also u can go in a plce which has been closed, that there is less oxygen and stay there for some ten minutes. Also u can give someone an emotional shock to relieve him/her of hiccups but the person need not to know. only reveal it after the hiccup has gone .WHen someone is under stress the person breath less and carbondioxide start to accumulate inthe blood through shallow breathing and relieve the hiccups

I had to go to the doctor about my hiccups. They are brought on by absolutely nothing, and I will hiccup once....then it is gone. Then maybe a few hours later I will hiccup one more time. Then I'm done for the day. Every freakin day, no matter what I do, I hiccup two or three times. Nothing has helped. If I ever get real hiccups (continuous) I'll try your method though

I have found that it's all in your head. A couple things that used to work don't work anymore.
My wife told me to try drinking a glass of water through a paper towel, that works instead of the older remedys i used to do. It's strange...
I have been able to cure hiccups by breathing in and holding my breath by closing off my throat for 10 seconds, and then breathing out.

My best method has been to breath in deep, hold it in for a few moments, lie to one side and completely relax then sip water slowey while holding your breath after about 7-8 seconds slowly breath out. Fin!

I have tried holding my breath and drinking water.... But the only thing that works on me is eating a spoonful of sugar. Works every time.

This NEVER fails for me. If you are at home turn on the kitchen sink. Then cover both ears at once with your hands and drink directly from the faucet. It can be done with any drink, it's just sometimes hard to drink things with hands on both of your ears.

I know it sounds crazy but trust me it works.

You can take a Q-tip and rub the roof of your mouth. It really works.

The breath holding doesn't always work.

not tried those but try a very cold glass of water or a fright usually does the trick - or try dropping keys down your back

I have never tried this. Interesting... I'll try this the next time I have the hiccups.

Thanks for the tip.
