bruce arenas. he can't coach

the coach seems too soft. the team can't score. The next cup, I hope they make goal scoring a major priority. They left Tyler Twellman off the team. He was the MVP and the leading scorer in the MLS. He did not make the team, and we only scored one goal in the tournament. The team was full of a bunch of guys that did not want to shoot on goal, and could not attack the goal.

Diving, draws, and people getting carried off on a stretcher to the sideline then standing up and walking off the field are examples why americans don't like soccer. Players should get a yellow card for diving. The Ghanadians are a bunch of soft, whining divers.

PLAYERS PLAYERS PLAYERS, These guys did not play with the tenacity that the other teams were playing. They were surprised by the first game because they were not ready for the effort the other teams played with. Soccer is not really a complicated game, we just looked like we didnt belong. Number 4 in Fifa rankings....hardly. Some guys gave effort at times but thats not enough when in some countries they really want to win this thing. Just didnt seem like the US Soccer team wanted it bad enough.

Bruce Arena 25%
The Team 25%
Me & You 50% (General American Public)
This Excellent game is just not popular enough here in the USA.
I personally always loved watching a good football game MLS, EURO, UEFA, World Cup etc. It's sad because
I think it is much better than Baseball (Boring), NFL (Tackle, Muscle-Brain, Stole-the-name, Whatever). Most of us just don't like. Maybe because you must be fit (not fat) and possess true skill (it's harder to handle a ball only with tour feet).

Bruce Arena, poor formation choice all tournament, Played the wrong ppl at the wrong time. Just poor coaching overall, not to mention the absolute lack of passion the US showed most of the Ghana match.

Its Bush and his cronies who keep the american people under wraps in their own cocoons of NBA and SuperBowl.

Well, now you need to accept that Americans should just stick to BasketBall and Rugby and just forget about Soccer. This is a game of passion and attachment, unlike the sheer size and strength demoed in Rugby.

Good Luck mates..

The refs, bad calls screwed us over, like the penalty kick, that wasn't a good call. Wasn't supposed to be PK at all and it screwed us over and took away the momentum which could of changed how we played. That could of lead to a goal, screwed over by refs and line judges. Offsides ruins the sport because there is too many that blow good scoring chances

mmm..not too sure on this one, I only caught the last few minutes of it during my lunch break. Luckly they were giving it at the local pizza shop. I think the lack of interest in soccer in the US is who gets the blame. There isn't enough interest and that's probably why our team isn't that great. I was pretty disappointed.

ARENA, DONOVAN, REYNA, POPE AND MASTROENI...BUT I BLAME THE TEAM AS A WHOLE...I DON'T BLAME DEMPSEY OR MCBRIDE AS MUCH...THEY PLAYED WITH HEART...

JOHNSON WAS GOOD BUT HIS WAR COMMENTPRIOR TO THE ITALY GAME WAS INAPPROPRIATE.."THIS GAME IS WAR"

WHILE I ACCEPT THAT MASTROENI AND POPE'S CALLS WERE DEBATABLE..THEY COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED..

THE REASON BRAZILIANS DON'T GET CALLED AS OFTEN ON SLIDETACKLING...IS BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY KICK THE BALL AND THE PERSON FALLS INSTEAD OF KICKING THE LEGS...IF YOU ARE LATE..YOU WILL GET THE CARD...IF YOU DO IT RIGHT..YOU MIGHT STILL GET THE FOUL..BUT YOU WON'T GET CARDED...THAT IS HOW EXPERIENCE PAYS OFF...BRAZIL HAS PLENTY OF IT..

The nation... not enough consistent national interest. Yet we hype up and have high expectations for a mediocre team. We're a young soccer nation. We'll improve in time.
