Hmmm, maybe someone feels threatened that superheroes are no longer all male?
I loved Laura Croft and Wonder Woman (she was THE super hero in my time). Let me tell you., there are many many men out there who drolled over Wonder Woman and now droll over Laura Croft.
I suspect you feel threatened to discover that you don't have to be male to be "super". Lighten up! Superheroes, regardless of the gender, are just tv and movie stories...not to be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, I agree.
It seems that a large part of the plot development for any female character involves personal drama that borders, if not crosses the line into, neurosis. Add to that the number of female super heroes that are raped, mentally violated, go completely insane, fall in love and become completely ineffectual, or die due to pitiful causes and they seem like a lost cause. Though you could always fall back on Striperella.
Of course... placing Electra and Batgirl in with Laura Croft and any Kill Bill character makes me think you might need to expand your female superhero database just a bit before you come to any firm conclusions. *grins*
Yeah... I just noticed this was in the movie section, which makes most of my answer pointless. I'm leaving it here though - maybe it'll spurn someone to go read some comics or graphic novels rather than waiting for an over hyped movie bastardization of a brilliant comic plot arc. *grins*

I agree, only because we are use to looking for Superhuman strength to come from a man..... not a woman. Even down to the stunts they perform are different. Men are associated as to having strength, and woman are suppose to be more lady like....

I don't think that they do enough with them . I mean they do have one up on the male super heroes. They are sexy. Maybe they are going to kill with their sexiness. I don't know. I was a huge Wonder Woman fan as a kid.

Just discussed this yesterday, a lack of truly decent female superheros. I would not say they suck, but they are definately fewer in numbers.
