Yes. Starting usually in the fifth or sixth months their eyes are developed enough to open and close. By the seventh month their eyes are fully developed and can fully open and be held open, and the baby's irises react to light and dark. At eight months if you shine a bright light on the mother's abdomen (this is NOT recommended), the baby will blink rapidly and usually kick or squirm.
Basically, at a certain point in a baby's development in the womb they begin to blink and open their eyes just as we do.

Yep they can sometime after 26 weeks the baby opens his/her eyes and can even track a bright light in the womb around 32 weeks... check it out on this link... its info from the documentary "in the womb" that aired on Discovery health channel... It was really interesting to watch If they play it again you should try and catch it. :D

Yes, they do. Though there isn't much light, they do open their eyes.
They are also able to hear sounds from the time they are 4 to 5 month along, so talk to the baby and play music.
If you talk to the baby, or just talking in general help the baby to learn your voice and be comforted by it once they are born and suddenly in a world where everything is bright, noisy and probably somewhat scary. A familiar voice is comforting and soothing in the beginning of life ourside the uterus.

Yes they do but because it's dark and they can't see anything anyway, the baby decides to go back to sleep.
