Why do you suppose there aren't many (or any) African American serial killers?

I'm actually very NOT racist, all my friends are black and my hubby is Indian. I digress....this is just a basic question. Some people need to stop playing the race card and get over themselves.

Google female serial killers and look at those statistics!

Okay, I just read all the answers to this question; and seriously, there's a lot of you that need to spend less time throwing idiotic racial comments and more time educating yourself. The color of ones skin does not make them more or less intelligent. (Everyone should know this by now). It also doesn't make you more or less of a sicko.
People of all skin tones do horrible things.

People...this is not a racist question! It's perfectly valid. I've thought of this myself, actually.
I have a coffee table book that gives a rundown of every high-profile criminal in American history, and I noticed that there are very few black "serial killers". A few more were categorized as "spree killers"(meaning that they killed a lot of people, but it wasn't over an extended period of time), but the vast majority just appeared to be plain-old murderers. I always wondered why that was.

Because when an African American commits a crime it's for a specific reason, that solves their problem. Serial killers aren't really trying to solve a problem. For instance broke rob somebody, need food steal it, and if someone disrespects you assault. I'm not saying these are the right things to do but just the thought process.

Because they are not as sick as white people and the same reason why mostly white men kidnapp and rape children and whoever said it takes intelligence to be a serio killer is just as dumb as the serio killer, if it took intelligence they wouldn't do it if they were smart or get caught. As for blacks killing each other, whites kill each other also did you even read the question dumb a ss WHITE SERIO KILLERS KILL WHITE PEOPLE. Blacks are not sick people who just kill for the pleasure of killing blacks usually kill because of a beef with the person, love interest or they want what that person have not to justify blacks killing but there is always a reason whites kill for these reasons also. There are some black serio killers but they are vastly outnumbered buy whites.

Derrick Todd Lee, for instance. He was the notorious Baton Rouge serial killer.

Black people arent serial killers because we got better things to do than kill people for any reason, if there is gonna be any killing by a black person its gonna be for a reason, maybe a stupid reason, but it sure wont be like the white people and kill a bunch of innocent people because they lost their job, or their wife left them, or they aint gettin none cuz they thangs too small!!!! Second of all, most of the serial killers want attention for some reason, and black people dont need any extra attention cuz uncle sam and all his nephews are always on their backs!!!
