Glinda the (Good) Witch of the North. She is like a wise and fearless advisor (don't be fooled by the innocent looking pink with sparkles). She isn't the interferring type, even if it means letting a person take a difficult journey. Her involvement in a person's life path is only enough to help them stay on the (yellow brick) road. Besides, she travels in an irridescent bubble.

The Wicked Witch of the West. Margaret Hamilton set the benchmark. I've never seen a better performance since. I've seen the movie dozens of times, but she still "scares" me every time.
