You gotta really think about this persons question here folks. I suggest you read up on some of the disertation abstracts of Noam Chomsky on race relations, both American and Global. Then revisit all of the questions this person here presented on 360. It's obvious he, she, whatever (because there are obvious contradictions with their identity).

This question could be seen as an honest and legitimate one; however upon viewing previous postings, this individual is preoccupied with race. The spelling sucks and i'm sure they'll delete this rant of mine ASAP. Extricate yourselves from this web of deceit. In the art of war, there is a thing called divide and conquer. Possibly a middle eastern extremist playing us.

Another probability is that he/she is likely a middle school child, one whom lacks a broad range of social interactive skills. Some people actually never left their own country, state, town, and even more, their own neighborhood. It's no wonder they view the world 2 dimensionaly.

I read a lot of the responses from various individuals here on this question. Seems that it may have hurt some such as the Italian girl and got her started, or the Indian Dude who I believe was annoyed, but seen the light through the trees.

I wasn't gonna respond so this person will collect another 2 points, but then...what's 2 pts vs. KNOWLEDGE and truth. My man a few heads back mentioned "What about soccer, rugby, hockey, etc". I have to agree that we don't dominate in every physical activity in America. Someone hasn't been doing their homework.

Man, I think this person was picked on in school and has a chip on their shoulder and in a sad way. How do the youngheadz (Yes, it's spelled slang intentionally) say it?

It's probably genetic. In the last marathon I saw, two African dudes were competing for first and second place. An Ethiopian chick was a distant third. There were NO people of other ethnicities in the top five.
A cultural answer would suggest that both Africans as well as African-Americans come from cultures that are far less "cushy". So physical entertainment is the most common sort. Unlike in our culture where television has to encourage us to go outside and play (how ironic is that?)
In most black cultures thoughout the world, excercise is a common way of entertainment, therefore producing and fostering more naturally gifted athletes.

This is not really a racist question, as surveys show that Blak people are a strong majority in many of the physically demanding sports.

One reason is genetic. Science has shown that Black people are genetically inclined to have an extra set of calf muscles (4 on each instead of 3 sets) and an extra set of shoulder muscles. This giving them an advantage over Caucasion athletes.

Because in any analysis of any population there will be anomalies. In the 1920s, -30s, & -40s in America, the game of basketball was completely dominated by Jewish players. Did this indicate anything substantive about Jewish basketball ability? Of course not!

The reason so many African-Americans currently dominate sports is because they gained the freedom to go into professional sports relatively recently, and had the drive and desire to practice and excel in sports as a way to get out of the dreadful place they were left in by White America. When (if) life in general becomes fairer to this segment of the population, the ethnic make-up of sports teams will reflect that of the population at large.

Tell ya' what, if some alien race came down to the planet and took only you and your immediate family for slave labor. I mean grueling, demoralizing, heavy hard work for many many generations. I am thinking Darwin's idea of evolution would come true too. The human body changes and adapts to the needs around it. And sadly to say this aloud, but if you breed a group under certain circumstances, you will create the perfect species.

i dont think that we dominate in everything, i do think however, that we are more of a competitive race due to us being labeled as minorities. And because society spotlights most of us as not as wealthy or it not being as easy for us to climb the social ladder, i think we feel that we have to do more in order to be noticed in order to be "equal" americans. Therefore we work harder (mostly with things we only wanna do such as sports or games). Also because there are several african american families that I know of that brought up their children playing sports because it seems to be an easy way of being somebody and not just the ordinary black man.

supposedly they have like an extra muscle, or a different kind of muscle or something in their legs that allows them to run faster. i don't really know exactly, and thie could be a myth. selective breeding of slaves doesn't make sense because at the Olympics and other international competitions it is the native Africans that often win the races and such. people who are not descended from slaves.

africans (fromtheir diet and living on the plains) are genetically superior in physical activities thaty involve a lot of running, not because theeir muscles ar ebigger(white men typically have the largest muscles) but because africans get more oxygen to their muscles faster.

oh, and white people tend to have more jobs that take brains. not saying black people are dumb, im just saying that white people tend to have more jobs that utilize the thinking and decision making parts of the brain.

You forgot hockey, soccer, curling , skiing, luge, gymnastics, ballroom dancing, ice skating, rowing, etc..Last time I checked Dirk was the highest ranking in the league for free throws. They do not dominate, there are just more in certain fields.
