There are no free internet providers to speak of, but there are many ways to get on the internet without actually paying for it. One method is to simply go to a library and use the computers which they likely have. Another possibility, which is illegal in some areas of the world, is to use a WIFI (wireless) network interface card to connect to an unsecured wireless access point and use their internet connection for a short period of time.

NetZero was free but they started charging for their services. I think now the only place to go is the library or somewhere like that.

These sites offer free dial up if you allow advertising on your screen and for a limited hours per month. Although, the price they charge for unlimited access is pretty cheap. But it is Dial-up - you won't get the same kind of speed as you would through DSL or Cable.

Going to one of your friends houses who have the internet, go to your local library, ask your parents to pay for your internet. That's all that I can think of.
