If you are religion, What do you think about Davinci Code, Do you believe in a stupid movie better than believe in your believes? The Davinci Code is just a stupid movie/story. If you wrote that story or you where the director of that movie you just think about the money, nothing else. Its your job to write a story about something stupid, and if you don't you will be fired or you won't make money for your family. If your job is to write a story adn you are a religion person, just don't write a story about something what is connected with the God. This person who wrote this story, he/she does not believe in God, or he/she believes but she likes the money more than the God. Or he/she wrote this story just to have some money, if he/she does not have money he/she does not take care of his/her family. i am religion person and my mom too. My mom was so dissapointed about this story and she said how can they do a story about something waht's not true and I said Mom its just a story.

i'm not sure what the question is here, but I will comment anyhow. You must be young? If you read into the Davinci Code and the background of the story a little more, maybe you will understand where the movie/book came from. It is based on true historical facts, and is, in fact...part of history. The most frequent comment I hear is "well, how do they know what happend..how do they know jesus was married?" well, how do that know he wasn't? How do you know the bible is accurate? Religion is organized, that is why there are so many different ones. I myself belive that there is a higher being, and the explanation for different religions is that many people have a different way of explaining this higher being. I was raised Catholic, but I challenge religion. I don't base my life on the bible or the stories the religion tells. It in fact may be true, and it may in fact be that the bible probably isn't accurate. There is some truth to it i'm sure, but how do you take documents from so long ago, base a religion on it and have people put faith in stories people told. Someone long long ago started the Catholic religion, wanted a book to be started. So he had many many people write scriptures about this miraculous jesus person...and you know what?? the only 4 that made it in were matthew, mark, luke and john. What happend to the other scriptures that didn't make it in the so called bible??? ahhhh, yes...thats right..they are being dug up now. They were supposed to be burned and destroyed, but some smart person from acient history hid them so we, the people of the future can know the real story. Open up your heart and your mind, don't let religion make you so close minded and pessimistic. It is not a sin to challenge your religion and beliefs. It is a sin to let your life be run by fear of sin. Knowledge is power...you can still be a person of faith without being such a follower of the bible.

You need to understand that everyone has their own beliefs. Just because the author (Dan Brown I think it is) wrote the story, doesn't mean he isn't religious. It's your personal oppinion that it was stupid. He never once said it was for fact true. First of all, it is a fictional story, based on some facts. It's only posing a theory. The theory that Jesus may have been married to Mary Magdalene and she had his child after his crucifiction. It wasn't said that was what had happened, it just was explaining it's a possibility. I'm a religious person, but I wasn't offended by the book. It's just a story, like you said. I've been told that people don't like this book because it implies Jesus was a sinner, which would take away his divinity and make him mortal. Lots of people can't stand that idea. I however don't think that's true. But some people believe that putting this thought into your head by reading the book, it gives the devil ammunition against you. It doesn't when you have a strong heart and your faith is strong. No one can change your beliefs unless you want to change them. But you can't say it's not true, you can believe it's not true. No one knows the truth of those days because none of us lived back then. So I'm not saying it is true, but it's very well possible, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's not completely out of this world if Jesus was married, it was very uncommon in those days for a Jewish man to be unwed and Jesus was Jewish. I don't think it would have been a sin anyway just because marriage is approved by the church and such, so I don't know what would have been so bad if he had been married. Again, I'm not saying he was, but you just don't know what was and wasn't. And it's okay to have your personal beliefs, but don't jump down someone else's throat for believing differently.

If you go into a bookstore looking for the DaVinci Code, you will find it in the FICTION section. That's all it is. Regardless of the author's religious beliefs (or lack thereof, whatever), the novel is a work of fiction and the movie obviously is too.
Yes the work contains a certain amount of facts, which Dan Brown acknowledges at the beginning of the DaVinci Code (and Angels and Demons), but he does not go so far as to declare it a fact that there is a direct line of descendents resulting from Mary Magdelen's union with Jesus Christ.
It's about the money, yes, but it's also about teaching you not to have blind faith in something but to question it and therefore learn more about the faith that you practice. In some cases it will make you stronger in your faith to question it.
It's fiction. Enjoy the book/movie, but keep practicing and defending your faith whenever necessary.
