Every time I search for anything, it appears on the pencil toolbar the next time I search for something else and so on. It becomes very distracting.

click on the space to enter a search to get the history to pop up, then use your arrow keys and go through each line and hit your delete key right above your arrow keys...
that should do it! It took me forever to figure it out!

its SUPPOSED to clear after u exit out of all of your internet browser windows.. that usually works for me.. as for hitting the delete key.. ive tried that and it wouldnt work on mine..

Alt-f4 should do it.
