Green leafy vegetables. Spinach, lettuce stuff like that. Not a good idea to eat salty stuff. It will cause fluid retention and swelling. You may have to eat a little something before you get out of bed in the morning. I know that a handful of almonds did the trick for me. It is loaded with calcium.

It is not necessarily something to eat or drink though you do need to stay hydrated, it is a matter of NOT LYING ON YOUR BACK when you sleep. The pressure of your Uterus presses on your abdominal aorta and when you get up you have a drop in blood pressure called orthostatic hypotention. You need to sleep on your side (use a pillow placed at the small of your back to prevent you from rolling) and sit up slowly when you get up to prevent the sudden drop in pressure that causes lightheartedness dizziness and possibly fainting. If it persists and these recommendations don't help you need to see your physician.
Orthostatic Hypotention is a common occurance in pregnancy and you can find information in any baby book or while you are expecting book.
And since everyone keeps insisting that it is blood sugar not blood pressure... Low blood sugar that causes dizzyness and "light headedness" will not alleviate on its own, it is treated by eating... a cup of skim mild is the BEST treatment and is how we treat low sugars in a consous responding patient in the hospital. DO NOT OVER TREAT LOW BLOOD SUGAR as rebound drops will cause someone to pass out.
With that said what you are describing is classic orthostatic hypotention.

Well, my grandmother is 69 and has problems keepin her blood pressure up. Her doc told her she has to eat 6 small meals a day, rather than the usual 3 large meals. She also drinks a tall glass of OJ in the morning and snacks on peanut butter on crackers. Try those, they are good for you and high in natural sugar.
Congrats, and I wish you all the best. :)

Your problem might be diabetes, not blood pressure! You should get to a doctor fast to see what the real problem is.
