I took my truck to the garage last week, about the smoke problem and it was the muffler/tailpipe and I got it replaced. Now last week also there was a yellow-green liquid dripping from the bottom of my engine. Its still doing it. Is it Anti-Freeze? Condensations? Is it anything to worry about?

I went to the garage and they did a pressure check and said it was fine... so I assume its probably just overflow or a very small leak. I'll get it looked at again the next time I get an oil change

I just checked it and it was at the add level... I put water in it. I'll call the garage tomorrow.

Yes. That sounds like anti-freeze. And depending on how bad the leak is, you might want to do something about that immediately.

99% chance it's antifreeze. Yes, you should worry until you find the source. It may be hose or hoses are loose, cracked, or giving out. It could be thermostat is no longer working, and causing a backup and leak, It could be a small hole in the radiator which is spraying a hose or a small stream onto the engine block. Whatever the cause, you're losing coolant. If the levels drop too low, you could crack the block, your truck may not start, or there may be a few other minor problems like the smell of hot antifreeze whenever you drive with the windows up. One other place to check is the heater core.

Anti Freeze, check the reservoir to make sure it's full. If it is too full it will spill out, if it's empty then you have a leak somewhere and should take it in. Anti-Freeze is generally a really bright greenish yellow color, and now it's coming out in a pinkish color as well. That is usually not a good sign, especially if your car was smoking.

Be sure to clean up the stain because animals might try to drink it and it will kill them.

Antifreeze - definately - listen to - bowls- and there are also freeze plugs that can be leaking they are in various places all around the engine block. they usually rust out in northern areas where they salt the roads. keep an eye on your temperature guage and pull over and shut off the engine if it gets too hot. - otherwise you can ruin your engine.

JeffyB knows what's up too.

This is not guess work.

That is your anti freeze and yes it is something to worry about because it will eventually get hot. Do have that checked out and until you can keep water and anti freeze in it and check it before you go somewhere.

Yes, and Yes, and Pepper, or Barsleak will solve this problem, also you may need to fill it up with anti-freeze again, or water will do just fine in the summer months, but you may need to check it more frequently, due to the summer months being all hot and everything like that, mmmmmK

Yup, anti-freeze. The "smoke problem" if it was white smoke, was not your muffler, but anti-freeze leaking into you engine cylinders, and burning up (thus, the white smoke). You may have a cracked block or seal in your engine.

Most fluids in vehicles are color coded.
Yellowish green is the color of anti-freeze.

Take your truck to your mechanic as soon as possible.
And keep your pets away from the spill! They love the taste of anti-freeze, but it'll kill them.

Anti-Freeze. You can go to your local shop and they can test the pressure in the whole system and find the leak (if it is leaking).
