I am sick and tired of these people whining about how they got a raw deal from the refs and blah blah blah.. whine whine whine ... I have never heard anyone from any other country - European, Asian , African or South American whine so consistently.. enough already !!!! why can't you idiots just accept that the team sucked .. and quit calling it soccer while you're at it ..

Last year - i wondered why people were so adamant that the US shouldn't play football - now i know.. they can't handle real sport so they whine and trash talk other teams/officials..

come back when you can play the game like real men

I am. Have you ever noticed that when ESPN or ABC go to the halftime report, no matter what game is going on, they end up talking about the US team. Literally within seconds of the halftime report.

I admire that Americans are patriotic but sh*t have a little balance in your reporting of the world cup.

Quit calling it soccer, its football.

But to all Americans who love football, big up and keep on trying. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Your arrogance is nauseating. The U.S. belongs in the World cup just as much as any other team in the world. We have improved and soon we will beat you. And I won't rub it in because I believe in being a virtuous person. Even though the refs gave the U.S. a very raw deal, i am man enough to admit that we weren't very good and wouldn't have advanced anyways because we did not score. the difference between European fans and U.S. fans is this. If the refs are bad and we lose, you won't admit that the refs were bad. somehow, you say we whine and FIFA refs suddenly become perfect gods in your eyes that called a great game. But if England happens to get screwed by the refs and they happen to lose or draw because of it watch out. All hell will break loose. U.S. fans will admit that England was screwed. U.S. fans simply take the high road in these matters. And we leave our personal biases behind. I even root for certain European teams.European fans are different. Many dislike the U.S. and its politics and would simply love for the U.S. World Cup team to lose forever. It is bad sportsmanship and is uncalled for. And lastly, it is arrogant snobbery. You don't own the sport. The whole world owns the sport.

Ya know, what you have to say is a crock of you know what. Now, don't get me wrong, I am Canadian, and the last thing I was routing for was one more thing the Americans could dominate. So I'm glad they are out. However, in the spirit of sport, football/soccer whatever you call it, it is a world sport which means anyone and everyone can play. Also I noticed you referred to baseball as a commercialized sport............I hate baseball, but how silly are you to think that football isn't commercialized, are you inferring that other sports like hockey (possibly the greatest sport alongside soccer), golf, and so on are all commercialized????............And how silly are you to think that if other teams received some of the calls the USA did this World Cup that the players, team officials, and fans wouldn't be upset as well. Anyhow, at least we agree on one thing - they did suck this year.

Anyone recall Italy versus South Korea in 2002? Italians are still complaining about that game 4 years later... See Wikipedia discussions and revision history for South Korea.

Plus, why should you care if the Americans want to call it soccer?

Other teams in this championship had worse calls. That's football. Thank god referees are still human, this makes the game more interesting.
But you can say almost all referees did their jobs well and made fair decisions.

Greetings from Germany, the host of the biggest party of the world!

Who would have thought that English, German and Dutch fans can party together without beating the crap out of each other? The football-fever here is amazing!

Try reading the responses and questions more carefully, every one I've read says basically there were bad calls but we didn't play well enough to have advanced anyway. Si necesitas traduccion, puedo ayudarte.

ANd apparently you missed this question from a south american (I'm guessing) in your analysis that showed no south americans

Do YOU think the ref. in the Germany vs. Ecuador game was fair?
I DO NOT!!! I hope you dont either. I hope that Ecuador wins the World Cup!!

There is another whining that people are forgetting.
When they lost the first game to the Czechs, the complaint was "this is so unfair, we are no. 5 in the world ranking, why did we have to play no. 2 in the first game?".
Well, those really strong Czechs are out too.
I guess they weren't that good, they just had an even worse opponent in that first game.
And that proves that the ranking is stupid.
Next excuse?

(I know, we heard them all... bad refereeing, we don't care for soccer anyway... yada, yada, yada...)

I agree that communities should not be troubled approximately tailoring a ballpark to a minimum of one or 2 hitters' needs. yet to assert that gamers now whine extra advantageous than gamers of the previous could no longer be an precise assessment. those days, there are a thousand million media shops surrounding each and every marginally sought after individual, and gamers are no longer any exception. in the event that they say some thing approximately it, you will pay attention approximately it. Who is primary with of, perchance Babe Ruth complained approximately his ballpark to the team each and all of the time. We does not comprehend with the aid of fact he did no longer have a microphone in his face and Twitter in his hand to tell the worldwide. i think of a extra precise fact could be which you pay attention gamers whinge extra in the present day.

Just as typical of any American national sports team, if they lose they suddenly come up with 6000 excuses of why they lost. Mostly it is because they all play individual and never as a team as you can atest by they're results in international events.
They always talk the talk, but have no heart and team ethics to walk the walk

I am so fed up of them. It's really annoying. I mean some teams get worst decisions and they don't complain as long or as hard.

And that team really needs to learn to play football, they really suck. They just go and run their mouths trash-talking the other teams instead of concentrating on the way they play.
Their priorities are so off.
