Do you have any method to calm yourself? Sometimes I get really angry when I read answers/questions I don't agree with. And when I say "I don't agree" I don't mean nice debates but answerers who are obviously wrong and usually rude (about race, religion... etc.) How can you cope with that? I never report anybody, but I wish I would... I know I must be tolerant. Is there any way not to take such answerers too seriousy? Should I take a week off frequently or not visit the problematic categories? What do you do? (I post my question here because gays seem to be great people according to my previous YA experiences... So be good and write a good answer! :)

I *try* to look for some way to bring some enlightenment if I can. It's not always possible, or taken well. Of course, I'm not above a smarty answer every once in a while.

Some people are just out in the world trying to goof on it -- some people are so dazzled by their own opinions they can't even look at others -- some people will pay attention... I hope for those.

I think there's nothing wrong with taking time away, you would come back to the same questions being asked over and over -- and getting the same answers over and over -- but I think it's better to keep exposing yourself to it to develop your own discernment of what's worth your energy and what isn't.

I have gotten to the point where I find some of the bashers almost humerous. I mean really!!! There is no intelligence behind their "questions" or remarks. It's just pitiful how stupid some folks can be! Randy W had a good suggestion, though! Sarcasm is great and I'll tell ya....I have had a few good hee-ha's over some of the sarcastic stuff people say to the fools asking stupid stuff!!
Just try not to let it get to you. Look for the humor in things if that's possible. Sometimes that's hard, though, when there is something really, really offensive.

Tolerance has to be worked at. I'm no Zen buddhist or Greek Stoic but I do wish for other people to have their say; however disagreeable I find it, personally. Just recently, I did succumb to answering a question with the same vitriol it had offered me and, whilst the release of aggression/frustration was immediate, it was only to be followed by the guilt of knowing that I had succumbed to that same gutter level - which had so angered me.

I do occasionally report people. At other times, I reply to their question in a sincere and polite manner; so as to frustrate them - that they didn't get a rise out of me.

Ignorance is one thing, gross and ugly (for those to whom it is not bliss). However, avoidance of that which is ignorant - I would argue - is the real offence.

Please take what will work for you, from my answer, and let me thank you for relating your good experience of the people on LGBT.

Just remind your self that this is an open forum, Everyone has their own opinion. If you don't like their answers. Go on to a different question. If you don't like the question, go to a different one. No one is forcing you to read and answer every question. This is a place where people can come together and let their feelings be known. Take what you need from this site and go on. Leave the rest for someone else.

Hello Kovács Levente.. :)

Many are attacked because of their life styles and beliefs..

I go to God in prayer and pray for those that try and hurt my faith through words..

I know this is not in the Bible..but my Mom told me while I was growing up..sticks and stones will break my bones..but names can Never hurt me.. :)

As a believer In Christ, I pray for those that wish me harm or call me names..I have No hatred, but only Love for everyone.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

I try to stay away from the categories that bother me, but if you're just browsing the site you'll eventually come across something that will bother you. I suggest taking the weekend off or something like that.

I give MY opinion. I don't care what "people" think on here or in the real world. Life is short. Tolerance is a bad word...have the guts to speak your mind!

If it bothers me I don't mess with it I've actually got to the point where I look for people I know arn't out to get reactions first before going to general questions.
