From a sister to another sister......

I was born in the South. It's not the best enviroment for African American people. Being African American in the South just plane sucks. White people won't look you in the face when they speak to you. They look down on you and call you the "N" word the first chance they get. Blacks are harrassed in the south more than any other place ( other than N.Y. or L.A. ).
Now I'm no racist....I can't be, My Grandmother is White. If you feel you must move to the South, make it Atlanta, it's swarming with sucessfull Black people and you won't feel like you don't belong there. Hope you find a place that suites you best though. Good luck.
