Get rid of the cat.
Seriously, any number of methods will clean up the pee and get rid of some of the smell but the damage is already done to the carpet and pad. Your place will always have a bit of a "cat pee" smell.

Well... good job kitty! First things first, clean the carpet with a DRY carpet cleaner like Capture. You can get it from Home Depot. If you need to get it done fast, resolve or another wet cleaner will work, but its hard on the carpet, and seeps into the padding.
The bad news is, if you have nice fluffy carpet with padding, you will need to get under the carpet by pulling it up, and cut the pissy portion out (the padding, not the carpet) and replace it. Just cut around the spot where the accident was.
You can get the guys at HD or Lowes to snip off a peice of rolled padding about the same size, usually for less than a dollar.
But you're going to have to get under the padding and carpet to the floor itself and paint it with Kilz or something similar. Kilz can be purchased in 1 quart cans from any hardware store, or Wal Mart if you like.
Kilz will form a barrier between the pee stain in the floor and your padding, preventing it from "weeping" back into the padding and carpet.
I know this is a lot of work, but its the only way to keep from doing it over and over when the potty stain returns from the flooring.
Whatever you do, dont try to cut the carpet in the middle to get under it. You'll ruin the carpet (unless you are a skilled installer and can patch it later). Pull it up from the outside in. You will have to pull it back over the tack strip when you are done.
This is not a small job, but its the only way to do it once and for all.
GOOD LUCK!

No matter what the method, if its had time to soak its down in the carpet pad its too late. Vinegar water works better than any soaps. It'll smell like vinegar for a day or two,but its better than the soaps. They leave a residue and do not come completely clean. But if its in the pad, its too late. You can clean the carpet, but the smell will remain. It wont be as strong, but once you have a pet, its like smoking, you will always have that smell in the house until you replace the carpet.

Urine gone works...try using vinegar, the vinegar smell will stay for a while but better than cat piss...dillute vinegar with water, use 1/2 of each...if you have or can get a carpet cleaner use the vinegar mixture in that...

It will never come out. You can mask the smell a little bit, but it will always be there. I would replace the carpet. I know that sounds expensive, but thats the only way to permanately remove the smell.

attempt a bottle of diluted organic and organic washing liquid, spray that into the carpet, the enzymes ought to "eat" the scent. The worst ingredient you're able to do is bleach it, this could basically motivate the cat to pee there back to cover up the bleach scent.... i do no longer comprehend whether febreeze does the comparable with the aid of fact the bio liquid yet you ought to offer that a attempt too.... desire this helps. finally in case you have extra advantageous than one cat, verify whether the cat's get admission to to the clutter tray is being blocked by making use of the different cat, curiously they could bully one yet another by making use of doing this. in user-friendly terms a guidance as to why he could have peed on the carpet....

Well Rip the carpet out!
You can get your carpet steamed proffesionally or you can rent one and do it yourself but it is hard work!! Trust me
But if you can not afford to replace it you can try someArm and Hammer Carpet and Room Deodorizer
Or a product called Nil Odor it works well

spray it with carpet cleaning spray to get the stain out, then sprinkle "Pet Fresh" carpet powder all over the carpet, let it sit for 15 minutes and vacuum it up. Then open your front door and drop kick the cat as far away as you can manage... otherwise the piss spree will continue indefinitely. Once a pisser, always a pisser.
