Amniotic fluid is a watery fluid, usually colorless(unless the baby has passed meconium) but sweet smelling/tasting.And discharge is usually not watery to the point of being urine-like consistency. So,if you are not sure what it is,no harm in getting it checked.

You should go to the doctor. They can test it and find out if it is the amniotic fluids. And if it is they need to know!
With my first two I had a very slow leak. And actually with my first I didn't even realize it was leaking until the doctor told me and then tested it.
Your undies should not be wet all the time. That sounds like it to me! Get checked out ASAP!

The easiest way to tell, though it may seem a bit gross, is to give it a sniff - amniotic fluid smells slightly sweet. Odorless fluid is likely to be nothing but excess moisture, which is quite normal.

If it is amniotic fluid, you generally have nothing to worry about as long as it's just a little leak and the fluid is clear, but it wouldn't hurt to give your midwife or obgyn a quick call.

Strong smelling discharge, or amniotic fluid that is greenish in color, can be caused by infection or fouled amniotic fluid - either of which should be reported asap.

your getting there! have you asked your doctor about this? you could have sprung a leak in your water. get it checked. mine broke naturally a couple days afer i lost my mucous plug. right after i went to bed. when you water actually breaks it gushes. again and again. you get to the hospital in a pond. i soaked up three beach towels before getting there. anyway. the other thing it might be is a tiny bit of urine leakage. if your baby is right there he could be pushing on your bladder a little to much but i would ask your doctor. if it is a leak in your water they may have to go ahead and induce you.

it could be just a discharge. when mine broke, it was like turning on a faucet. it didnt hurt, but i will say that you really feel like you are urinating without stopping for a while. i will say that when it does break, you do need to get to the hospital because of the risk of infection. good luck

You should call your Dr. ASAP, and let him know sounds like the fluid is leaking and this is very possible. Good Luck.

Could be, you should call the doctor. They don't want to wait long if your water broke to deliver the baby. Mine broke on it's own and it was pretty wet pretty quickly. We delivered the next day.
