With 6 kids, we have alot of board games. The boxes just don't hold up. Need a generic size box that would hold different types of games, preferably all the same size, for easy storage. The only ones I can find are made for specific games. I dont really need all the compartments in those.

Hi! Put all the flat game boards on a shelf. then get a sewing box or a fishing tackle box. Put the loose game peices in baggies, label the baggies with a Sharpie, and put them in the tackle box. Put the tackle box on top of the boards on the game shelf. Ta-Da! If you don't want a tackle box, you can use a shoebox; you just have to read all the baggies. Oh, and you can put the game instructions in a file folder under the boards. :)

We have tons of board games. Our solution: a trunk that serves as a coffee table and storage for our most frequently played games and a dresser in the garage for the overflow. Good luck with the storage!

Check the craft section of the store, or a specific craft store like Michaels, for hobby/craft storage boxes. They come in multiple sizes and usually with various numbers of small compartments for game peices.

Or try the sporting goods section and look for fishing tackle boxes, they are similar.

I would stay away from a pool table just because there so hard to move once you guys do move out... A slot machine would be great maybe a air hockey table or a foosball table. A nice tv would help also and any game system would help ps3 or xbox... And a mini fridge I bet nobody would wanna leave that game room...
