I would recommend getting your undergraduate degree in any field that interests you and that you will want to work in the industry of (ex. Public Relations, Marketing, Accounting), and a masters in Business Administration or Management.
That way, you can end up managing a company that deals with something you are educated about and enjoy (such as managing a marketing firm.)

I was planning the same as you. I ended up pursuing my Industrial Engineering degree and just graduated last May 2011 from Penn State University, one of the best schools in Industrial Engineering and the first school to offer IE as a major back in 1908 I believe. I loved Industrial Engineering. It was an interesting subject. My favorite classes were Concurrent Engineering, Facilities Layout and Planning, Manufacturing Systems, Project Management and Senior Design Project. There is lots of group work and lots of writing papers and reports in almost all IE classes. I decided not to get an MBA because I found it too boring taking economics and accounting finance classes along with management classes in Business Management. But I am now considering an MPS(Master of Professional Studies) in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. That is a very good Masters program that compliments Industrial Engineering. I am just saving up for it while paying off my current student loans since it costs $30k+ tuition. If you like MBA, then go for it after your engineering degree. It is still very good to have an MBA with an engineering degree.

If you want to be a CEO, you have to target the Industry you want to join.
For Hospitality Industry - Degree in Management with Diploma in catering / related field will do.
If looking for company with industrial activity - Industrial Engineering with an MBA would be fine.
But overall higher the number of Degrees, more are the chances of absorption.

You could always try ***-Kissing 101. It's a great way to shortcut some of the necessary steps.

I recently read that more CEOs have undergraduate degrees in accounting than in any other field.
