I have known a number of Republicans who are pro-choice,as they call it,and they say there is more variations on this issue than with Democrats.
Fair Enough.
But,like most people,I have a hard time taking the seriously anti-abortion minority. How's this sound, coming from and awoved
and staunch defender of the pro-life view:
"Here's some, so you know what vitriol is: You're just a useless feckless mongoloid excrescence on the rectum of humanity. And you always will be. I regret your mother not taking the opportunity to abort. May you die a horribly painful and slow death, and rot in hell for eternity.""
What a regret that my mother did not abort me?
How's THAT for an ultraconservative nut case?

That is one of the great dichotomies/ironies in politics:

Republicans are pro capital punishment, anti-abortion
Democrats are anti-capital punishment, pro-abortion

Apparently life only has a value if the other guy is against it.

Yeah, that's a nutter alright. However I think the vicious point that was trying to be made is that, you were once upon a time a cluster of cells with a heartbeat, and now are you sorry your mother endured her pregnancy (not a parasitic condition, as some pro-death people call it)

As for the pro-life realm of people...it is actually pro-choice, as those pro-abortion are only interested in ONE choice, that is death of their unborn child. Pro-life believers believe in, keeping the baby, giving the baby to adoption, or cryogenically freezing the fetus.

But again, I digress, that guy was a total nut job to say such a disgusting thing.

Not all members of a political party agree with each other on everything. The Republicans disagree amongst themselves just as much as the Democrats do. There are some Republicans who are pro-choice who vote the way they do because they agree with some of the other aspects of their party's platform. Perhaps they are fiscal conservatives or they like the Republican Party's stance on national defense. However, since the Christian fundamentalists have hijacked the Republican Party, they're the ones we hear the most from. And as a result, the moderate, pro-choice Republicans are all but ignored or forgotten.

Sounds like the typical Neo-Con hack. Not all republicans are bad. And, as with scorpion, I do NOT support abortion as a birth control method, only in a special circumstance. I think it should be an option on the table for a rape victim, for instance. But Neo-Cons will tell you that abortion is bad and then turn around, fly to Europe, and abort their daughter or girlfriend's child to get rid of the responsibility, or simply doesn't like the fate of the child (i.e. minority) or if they cheated with a liberal and got pregnant. They also prefer Minorities and Libs to abort children to lower the population of rivals for the mindless Faux News zombies.

Barker, you are a nut-case. Typical republican anti-everything except what you like. Hope you end up on wellfare douche-bag.

Typical hypocrite-- pro-life unless its somebody I don't like, then kill 'em all.

btw-- I'm personally against abortion but don't think the gov has a right to determine who gets one and who doesn't. Its way to grey of an area. Besides, the law is set, it ain't going to change so get over it conservatives. Better that you work to educate and cajole people into NOT getting an abortion.

too wide a broom. Conservatives will be socially liberal yet fiscally conservative. that ought to point they facet with freedoms that do not intervene with others. so the welfare food stamp element is out the door, at the same time as gay marriage is not any difficulty and professional decision see you later as you're not any further killing the infant outside the womb, which some pick to do.

I consider myself a staunch conservative, and my position is that we should LIMIT abortions to the most exceptional of circumstances. Abortions, as they are performed today, are mostly performed as a contraceptive measure, which is an immoral travesty.

I am a republican I am pro-life, why should anyone who is grown up enough to make the choice to have sex be able to take the easy way out and kill their own child?

Put a lot of faith in politics, do you? What're your views on organized banditry with a semblance of legality?
