After five days I would not have thought he would still be in shock unless it was a serious fall if that were the case he would be in hospital by now.I would make an appointment to see the gp just to put your mind at rest if nothing else comes of it, at least you will both know the end result good luck.

Sounds like he should go to the doc right away, he could have internal bleeding or a head injury from the sounds of it. Something is definitely wrong, don't mess around , make him go get checked out. I'm a nurse if that helps you in making a decision?!

No broken bones? do you know this because of a Dr. visit? I would worry about shock or an internal injury of some sort. GO TO THE DR.

Shock happens with an hour or so of trauma, ie a fall, I think your partner should see a doctor even if s/he consulted one at the time

Obviously common sense should prevail. How far did he fall? A foot or a mile? Which part of his body took the brunt? A knee, hand or head? His age? Existing medical conditions?

Or is it just because he is a man?

This sounds like delayed shock and shocks mean circulatory collapse (in varying degrees). Must be taken to docs straight away or call ambulance.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. He could have a fractured skull. Is he sick, have headaches, are his pupils the same size as each other or are they wide(dilated) I think you should get him medical attention a soon as possible.

Either way, he should see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. Shock can be serious if left untreated.
