My sister was at a softball game and she's the pitcher and someone hit the ball strait at her face and she broke her nose. We went to the emergency room but they didn't really tells us what we should do besides have her rest. Is there anything else we should do?

Yes, keep ice on it for as long as she can possibly tolerate it. When it gets too cold, let her take it off a short while then return it back on the nose again for as long as she can stand it. It is normal for her eyes to start turning colors - they will get black and blue most likely. Keep her calm and still.

Keep ice on there about for 10 hours, then go to bed early, and put some aching pain re lever on her nose. It doesn't matter what it is just get some, and u can get it anywhere.

Ice for the first 24 hours, that will keep the swelling down.
After that, low heat, which will improve circulation and help the area heal.

and lots of tylenol.

the purpose of ice is to relieve pain and reduce swelling. but there's really nothing else one can do about a broken nose but wait for it to heal.
