When it gets that cold the moisture in the air freezes. It's why it becomes VERY dry when it gets that cold. To snow it usually has to be closer to 32 - the freezing point - or even a little bit above it (it's colder thousands of feet in the air where the clouds are). The best is when it snows a lot, then drops to 15 or 20 so it stays around!

Sorry to burst your bubble but I lived in Ocala FL for 8 years, my brother has been there for over 20 & yes it does snow in Ocala. However, I do agree that it doesn't snow at that temp because it's too cold to snow. Also, there must be moisture in the clouds, otherwise it won't, snow, rain, sleet, etc.

Low Pressure systems rarely make it that far south, also the Gulf Stream is a HUG ocean river full of the hottest waters in the ocean. Also, God likes Florida-thats why you never get hit by Hurricanes.

It would snow if there is enough moisture in the air. Low temperature in itself doesn't produce snow, in as much as high temperature in inself doesn't produce rain.

Just because it's cold doesn't mean it's going to snow. I would ask a weatherman.
