It would actually be both June 20th, the day before the longest day of the year (June 21) and June 22nd the day after the longest day of the year...They are equal

I believe they are both within a second of each other. I could be wrong but I'm not going to look up the sunrise and sunset times for today and the 20th.

Count the number of days between the longest and shortest days of the year from each side. eg before and after the 21st.
Which ever side has the fewest days has the steeper gradient and thus the longer day.

Both, while in the 20th the day is getting longer and the 22nd its getting shorter. they have the same amount.
