Leibniz discovered the product rules of Differentiation.
Newton helped to shape the quotient rule, and was a major mathematician in the field of Calculus.
I'm not sure about the chain rule.

probably the father of calculus ... Sir Newton.


But try it for you self... the quotient rule is just the chain rule...

D f(x)/g(x) = D[f] *1/g + f * D[1/g]
D is the derivitive opperator.

Sir Issac Newton, he was the major applier of Calculus to Mechanics.

Newton is credited with it, but several people came up with similar versions around the same time. He published his first though. Lots of arabic people i think

No one really invented it. It was discovered.
