Define nerd and say if there cool or not.?

A nerd is someone who doen't necessarily care as much about his social life as he does his studies or passions.
Prince was such a man. He would stay home and practice his stage moves and guitar scales and nodes. He's now very successful in promoting and directing other bands as well as his own career. His alter ego is David Blaine... just kidding. I would classify Blaine as a nerd too.
Since the King of the nerds is Bill Gates and he's the richest man on earth and can do what he wants, buy what he wants and help the less fortunate in life on this earth. I would say it's pretty cool to be a nerd.
Sign me up! It's definitely 'in'.

Nerd: someone who different/smarter than the average jock, therefore, a cause for mockery. Nerds are way cooler than any social group, they're themselves all the time and don't really care what others think, 'cause no matter what they're going to be made fun of anyway, I would know, I'm classified as a nerd...

Nerds: Slightly higher in the social pecking order than geeks. Nerds have a few more social skills than geeks, which makes them marginally cooler. My bf is a nerd, as am I. So yes, nerds are cool^_^

I always thought of a nerd as highly intelligent, computer/math wiz that had little or no sense of style....I've had friends like that and once you got to know them...they were definately cool!

generally a nerd is a nerd,geek,dork,might look inteligent but normaly only in the thing they spent all there time doing.overall its a person shall we say thats different to the norm or usual.
